“What a difference a Fulbright makes”
Taking Steps to Discover What We Have In Common

Dance touches every nation, every people, and every ethnicity. It is precisely this spirit of oneness that Francie Huber confirmed during her Fulbright lecture / research grant as the guest artist at the Queen Noor Al Hussein performing Arts Center (PAC) in Amman, Jordan.

Whether choreographing and performing in productions or teaching in the dance and drama departments of Yarmouk University in Irbid and the University of Jordan, Huber often found herself in the role of activist for arts education in general.

“.. I was happy so many students … were eager to participate in creating and performing a dance. We all came to understand the potential for art, to find individual expression and to find commonality.”

She wore the role well, whether choreographing and performing productions or teaching extensively in dance and drama departments. Yarmouk University in Irbid and the University of Jordan also benefited greatly from Huber’s talents and passion.

Even with all the “natural historic beauty of Jordan,” it was a two-week to Irbid that made one of many lasting impressions on the artist ...”
